1.5mm Multi-Layer Anti-Slip Polyurethane Flooring System with 2mm Cementitious Moisture Barrier
A multi-layer polyurethane flooring system was installed at a helipad facility to provide a durable, slip-resistant, and weather-resistant surface suitable for demanding external operational conditions.
Prior to the final floor finish, a 2mm thick self-smoothing cementitious moisture barrier was applied to provide floor levelling and moisture protection, creating a stable and uniform substrate for the subsequent flooring system.
A 1.5mm thick multi-layer polyurethane topcoat system was then applied across approximately 1,890m², incorporating an anti-slip finish to enhance surface grip and operational safety.
The completed flooring system provides good resistance to abrasion, moisture, weather exposure, and general operational wear while helping to protect the underlying concrete substrate. Its anti-slip characteristics are particularly important for helipad environments where safe movement and reliable surface performance are essential.
The combination of moisture barrier protection, surface levelling, and a durable anti-slip polyurethane finish delivers a long-lasting flooring solution suitable for exposed helipad applications.
